With summer break fast approaching, we want to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, the end of the school year, and promote a full summer of fun, joy, and care! Together with Roller Wave and CEC 13 we’re inviting our young neighbors to join us on Friday, June 30th, from 3pm-7pm for a FREE roller skating party at Roller Wave (625 Atlantic Ave). There will be music, food, and games!
We’ll also be marking the launch of District 35’s Youth Summer Series. With the closure of the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club Navy Yard Club House, we’re teaming up with organizations and institutions across the District to host diverse youth programming every Friday throughout the summer. Some examples of the types of events we’ll have include: movie nights, skateboard clinics, painting workshops, museum tours, and dance classes. At June 30th's launch party we’ll have a full calendar of events and information on how to sign up. We ask that you please share the invitation to our Launch Party event with your networks. Our goal is to get hundreds of young people to Roller Wave for an afternoon of fun. You’ll find the invite graphic attached. I’ve also included the link to RSVP below.
